Privacy Policy for Visitors, Customers and Callers

Who operates RingCorgi
TypeScience, trading as RingCorgi, operates this website and the RingCorgi service. We provide an AI receptionist for small businesses, along with a browser demo and optional website chat and consent-based lead follow-up.
You can contact [email protected] for product or account help. Send questions and requests about personal information to [email protected]. This policy covers visitors to our website, businesses that use our service and people whose information reaches us through calls or chats.
Who decides how caller information is used
The business receiving a call decides what information its receptionist collects and why. We process that caller information on the business's behalf. The data processing terms are part of our terms of service.
A caller can contact the business directly about how it uses messages, appointment details or other information collected during the conversation. Callers can also email us at [email protected]. When you contact us, identify the business you called so we can understand which account your request concerns.
Account and setup information we collect
We collect account details such as your name, business name, email address and phone number when you sign up or manage the service. Billing is handled by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.
We also collect the answers you give in the onboarding chat and content from the business website you direct us to use. These materials tell the receptionist about services, hours, service areas, pricing policies, intake questions and urgency instructions. If you change those instructions, the information you provide becomes part of how your receptionist is configured.
Information collected during calls and chats
We collect call audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries and caller numbers as part of providing the receptionist. Your business's intake questions shape the other details callers provide, such as a name, requested service or callback information.
The receptionist states at the beginning of a call that it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded. Those notices cannot be disabled. Call information is available through the customer's dashboard, and email and app push notifications contain call details. The business also receives a daily digest email.
Our website demo calls and chats are recorded and transcribed to show the result. You can evaluate the demo with fictional information. Do not submit patient information; healthcare use is outside our current service.
How we use the information
We use account and onboarding information to set up and operate the customer's receptionist. Business instructions help it answer questions, collect messages, identify urgency and follow the chosen call-handling process.
Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.
Call information supports the service the customer selects, including summaries, transcripts, recordings, appointment booking and urgent call handling. An optional follow-up call uses information from a person who submitted the business's web form and selected a consent box naming that business. We do not offer cold calling or calls to purchased leads.
We use website analytics to understand website use. We never sell personal information and do not use callers' information for our own marketing.
Service providers involved in processing
We use service providers for hosting and storage, telephone carrier services, AI voice and text models, payment processing, email delivery and analytics. These categories describe the services involved in running the website and receptionist.
AI model providers process voice and text as part of delivering the service. Our API data is not used to train their models by default. This training default does not mean that call information bypasses AI processing.
The customer business receives information from its calls and decides how to use it for its own work. For example, its staff may use a call summary to return a service inquiry. Ask the business about its own handling of information after it receives it.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics and Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies. Information from website analytics helps us understand how visitors use this site.
Website analytics and receptionist call records are different parts of the information described in this policy. If you have a question about cookies or want to make an opt-out request, email [email protected] and explain your request. Do not include payment card details or unrelated sensitive information in the message.
How long we keep recordings and written records
Call recordings are kept for the period the customer business chooses: 30 or 90 days. After that selected period, the recordings are deleted. Your business can choose the retention period for its recordings.
Transcripts and summaries are kept while the account is open. They are deleted within 30 days after the account closes or on request. Those written records have a different retention rule from the call audio, so a recording's deletion does not by itself describe the status of its transcript or summary.
You can ask us about the information involved in a particular request at [email protected]. Our security and data-handling overview explains the published controls and current service limits.
Access, correction, deletion and opt-out requests
You can email [email protected] to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or an opt-out. California residents can use that contact for requests concerning privacy rights that apply to their information.
Tell us what you are requesting and provide enough context to identify the relevant business or account. If your request concerns a call, naming the business you contacted helps us locate the context. Avoid sending a full transcript or recording unless it is needed for your request.
Callers can make a request to the business they called or to us. The business decides the purposes for collecting its caller data; we handle that data on its behalf. Contacting us is also an option if you have a question about our own website or demo information.
Children and healthcare information
RingCorgi is not intended for children under 13. Healthcare use, including protected health information, is not permitted. Do not enter patient details into onboarding, the demo or the live service.
These limits apply even if your business only wants message taking or appointment requests. If you are unsure whether your intended use falls within the service we offer, describe the business use to [email protected] without sending sensitive personal records.

We date policy changes on this page so you can identify the version you are reading. The date at the start of this policy is its last update date.
For questions about a change or any practice described here, email [email protected]. For help with your account or receptionist settings, email [email protected].
